In 1994, Robert Chin Fo Sieeuw brewed his first beer in Germany, and in the United States, it truly became a hobby. As an international marketer, Robert traveled extensively with his family for his work and discovered that beer is truly “the most unifying drink” in the world. In Suriname, it’s even a cultural practice to bless something new by sprinkling it with beer. Celebrating reunions with family and friends with a beer.

As you know, for decades we’ve only known 1 or 2 beers in Suriname, but that’s now a thing of the past. In December 2019, our “Oso Biri” was introduced, which is Surinamese for “artisanal brewed beer.” A new word coined by one of Suriname’s founding fathers and hero Surinamese linguist, the late Uncle Hein Eersel.

Crispy Spring Rolls

These perfectly crisped spring rolls are the ultimate snack or starter. Stuffed with a savory blend of seasoned vegetables (and maybe a little meat, if you’re lucky), they’re deep-fried to a golden finish and served with a tangy-sweet chili sauce for that perfect bite. Garnished with fresh lettuce and tomato for a light, refreshing touch.

Great selection of international beers and good cocktails (could be improved, but good!) They make a selection of craft beer; not that good – but fun since the only ones in Suriname. The best is the beer garden, with a nice atmosphere and shadow on a sunny day.
Pascal was a great chat and also kind enough to let me sample their home brew, Owru Oso (good summery one). One of the few, if not the sole beer bar in Parbo. They have a good selection of imported ones on can and bottle too!
Excellent service, friendly Staff and a good choice of different kinds of beer. And they offer their own beer
